Two lists - Blood Angels and Tzeentch/Nurgle Heresy


So I've got two lists that I'm thinking of messing around with this weekend if I have the time. Check them out!


The first one is an early 5th edition-style list for Blood Angels that I just wanted to see how it would do. The only difference between this list and the one that's just like it that I used to run, is I added another Storm Raven, and removed the Sang Priests and Chaplains. Here we go!

Blood Angels - 2,000 points

Basically Mephiston can either start on the table, hiding behind something for some cover saves, or he can start in a Stormraven Gunship and come in later along with the outflanking Baal Predators and zooming Stormravens. The Land Raider and Furioso should draw a lot of firepower first, but they should be able to kill stuff before they themselves are eliminated, and the Assault Marines are all kitted out for some wall-of-fire fun times.

I know, I know, shame on me for making a horribly un-fluffy list, running Nurgle and Tzeentch together in the same list. You know what? I don't care. If I could give the Daemon Prince a 4+ invul without using the Mark of Tzeentch, I would, so just imagine that it's a codex-representation of a super-durable Nurgle Prince. Either way, this list sounds like a BLAST to play, fluffy or not, and I think it's actually got a chance of doing well at least at my local game store.

The Daemon Prince will surely soak a ton of firepower, but he does have a 4+ invulnerable save with Toughness 5, and he can fly, and he only has to touch area terrain to get a cover save in 6th edition. The Havocs and Oblits will wreck face at range, and the Chaos Space Marines are pretty boss as I've configured them to be able to handle almost any situation. The Heldrakes can vector-strike other flyers and can use its Baleflamer to melt away entrenched heavy-weapons squads, or squads behind defense lines.
